Featured Presentation

The Art and Science of Manhandling Parallelism

Speaker: Adam Machanic, Consultant and Trainer Data Education

Summary: This is a PASS video session presented by Adam Machanic emphasizing how to take full advantage of server resources, making complex queries many times faster, and understanding when QO has failed you. The goal of showing this video is twofold. First, we want to provide everyone who has not attended a PASS conference the opportunity to experience one of these fantastic sessions. Second, we hope this helps our members prepare and build confidence to speak at our monthly meetings as well as at (605) SQL Saturday in July.

About Adam: Adam Machanic is a Boston-based SQL Server developer, writer, and speaker. He focuses on large-scale data warehouse performance and development, and is the author of the award-winning SQL Server monitoring stored procedure, "sp_WhoIsActive." He has contributed to several books on SQL Server, including "T-SQL Querying" (Microsoft Press, 2015). He is a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP) for SQL Server.
